2008 Fire & Rescue Incident Pictures

Route 6 at Peter's Restaurant

On July 16, 2008, Shohola Fire and Rescue was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident w/serious injuries. 41-1 arrived on scene to find a multi-vehicle accident in the parking lot of Peter's Restaurant.

Route 6 Vehicle MVA Overturn w/Medivac

On June 20, 2008, Shohola Fire and Rescue was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident involving an overturned vehicle w/serious injuries. 41-1 arrived on scene to find a pick up truck on it‘s side and another vehicle with significant damage. 41-5 and 21-6 responded and tx one pt to Trails End for medivac and one by ground to Bon Secours.

Route 6 Vehicle MVA w/Fire near Trails End Vehicle

On June 14, 2008, Shohola Fire and Rescue was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident with the vehicle being fully involved under power lines. 41-1 arrived to find the driver self-extricated and sitting on the wall of the Trails End sign with minor injuries.

Route 6 Overturn Vehicle

On May 17, 2008, Shohola Fire and Rescue was dispatched for an overturned vehicle off the road on Route 6 approx. 1/2 mile west of Shohola Falls Road. Upon arrival, 41-1 found a male in his 50s self-extricated from his vehicle w/a possible head injury and leg/ankle fracture. Medivac was requested and l/z was set up in Trails End.

Shohola Creek Rescue

On May 5, 2008, Shohola Fire and Rescue was dispatched to fall victim with a leg injury along the Shohola Creek. 41-1 arrived on scene to find the victim approx. ½ mile into the woods and down an embankment, with 1 foot stuck between two large rocks and was partially into the creek. Pike Cty Comm Center was able to locate the victim via the GPS in his cell phone.

Greeley Structure Fire

On March 31, 2008, Shohola Fire and Rescue was dispatched for mutual aid to a working structure fire on Route 434 across the street from Shurway. 23-1 arrived on scene and reported a fully involved house and requested mutual aid from all Lackawaxen companies and Sta 41. Sta23 was called for a rekindle at approx. 0443 hrs.

Motor Vehicle Accident

Shohola Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a car in the woods with possible entrapment. 41-1 arrived on scene to find entrapment and limited access to the patient, due to the severity of the accident milford was called for their rescue and an additional ambulance in case they were needed, the crew from 41 engine 2 removed the drivers door and assisted 415 and pike als medic 401 with pt extrication prior to arrival of milfords units, extrication took about 10 minutes, medivac was requested and not available due to weather conditions.

Motor Vehicle Accident

Shohola Fire and Rescue was dispatched to assist Shohola PD with recovering a vehicle that had fallen through the ice on Twin Lakes. Shohola arrived on scene to find the vehicle partially submurged in water. Fire station 26, Dingmans FD, was asked for their ice rescue team to come to scene. Vehicle was checked for occupants than pulled out of the ice.
